The Grecale GT is the single Maserati in our collection, and it earns its place through versatility rather than spectacle. This is a mid-size SUV built for a city where wide chassis and tight streets rarely get along — in Monti or Trastevere you want restraint, and the Grecale delivers a trident badge without the bulk of a full-size SUV that would struggle down a Centro Storico side street.
Where it performs best is on the routes business travellers and weekend explorers actually drive: EUR to Fiumicino for a morning flight, Via Veneto to a client meeting, or the SS218 climb into Castelli Romani for a lunch at Frascati with lake Albano views on the way back. The cabin suits four adults and a reasonable amount of luggage, which matters if the day involves a wine estate stop and an overnight bag.
Handover works around Rome's ZTL restrictions rather than against them — collection is arranged at a hotel outside the restricted zone, at the airport, or at another agreed point rather than promised at a Centro Storico kerb, since cameras in Tridente and Trastevere make that kind of delivery unrealistic without a permit. Rates start at €300 per day, and a security deposit and insurance terms are confirmed at booking so there are no surprises at pickup.
For a client who wants one dependable, well-mannered car for a Rome stay — not a self-drive supercar moment, but a machine that handles the airport run, the client dinner and a half-day out to the Castelli with equal composure — the Grecale GT is the practical answer, and currently the only Maserati we offer.
